Overview & Reviews
Other than having some new wheel designs, the IS 300 is unchanged this year.
- Outstanding driving dynamics, slick interior decor, competitive pricing.
- Small rear seat and trunk, not much storage space, styling more suited to baggy-panted masses.

Road trip - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By KJsIS - April 14 - 10:00 amI took a road trip from Texas to NY and back about 3 weeks after buying this Sportcross. I found that I had to use cruise control on long drives, otherwise the seat would become very uncomfortable for my gas pedal leg. Ive taken this trip before in a GTI VR6 and didnt experience any discomfort. Of course, this problem wouldnt be noticed during day to day driving, only on 600+ mile cruises. Besides that, the paint chipped much more than I expected for a premium car (GTI fared better). Other than those issues, Ive truly enjoyed the 2 months with this car.

Disappointed - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By Pathdoc - April 14 - 10:00 amGreat handling. Needs more power. Disappointed by clunking noise when shifting 5 speed (District Operations Manager finally admitted a design flaw in dual plate flywheel) Quirky auto climate control searches for right cabin temp. Dealer service arrogant and indifferent. Not what I expect from Lexus! Now have a dashboard rattle

Excellant Review.. - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By quick - January 29 - 2:00 amI purchased my IS300 this past July. I am very happy w/ the way it handles and accelerates. The ride is nice and smooth for the tight suspension. I find it easy to out handle the Fire Birds, Camaros and CL-Type S on the road. The GPS system is good. I would probably rate it as 2nd best on the market. It is correct about 90% of the time. I think Acura has the best GPS.

IS has it all - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By archtctura - September 18 - 2:00 amThe overall performance and handling of the car is superb given that its lexus first shot into the mid-size sport category. I have driven the car in the heat of arizona summers and the cold of chicago winters and truely say it starts without a complaint. The build quality is what you would expect from toyota, plastic to fill in the voids, and a horrible paint job! The design aspects of the car such as aggressive lines on a 5 star 17" low profiles is great to look at in the parking lot and interior was cutting edge and the first of its kind.

Favorite Car Ever - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By jroosh - September 7 - 10:00 amI really like this car, my second Lexus. It is fun to drive and trouble- free, and you dont see very many on the road. Loaded for the money. Everything a 3-series is without the constant trips to the service department. Great dealerships.

Fun Car - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By atlantafan - August 12 - 10:00 amVery fun car to drive. I have had it for over a year and I still get excited everytime I get behind the wheel. Sometimes the transmission sticks when trying to accelerate quickly, but I was told the computers on cars nowadays sometimes get confused in those type situations. Car offers a very comfortable ride especially if you are the one lucky enough to drive it.
